damFallon Sherrock has given her fans another reason to celebrate, and her latest achievement is a powerful reminder of why she remains one of the most recognisable figures in women’s darts. The English star has secured her place at the 2027 PDC World Darts Championship, setting up another appearance at Alexandra Palace, the venue where she made sporting history.
For Sherrock, this qualification represents more than another tournament opportunity. It is another chapter in a remarkable career that has brought unforgettable victories, difficult challenges and an extraordinary connection with darts supporters.
A Return to the Place Where History Was Made
Sherrock became a household name during the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship when she defeated Ted Evetts, becoming the first woman to win a match at the tournament. She followed that achievement with another victory over Mensur Suljovic, creating a moment that helped transform perceptions of women competing on the sport’s biggest stage.
Her performances earned her the unforgettable nickname, the Queen of the Palace. Years later, that achievement remains an important part of her sporting legacy.
Now, with her qualification for the 2027 championship confirmed, fans have another opportunity to watch her compete on the stage where her story captured international attention.
The Difficult Side of Sudden Fame
Behind the celebrations, Sherrock has also spoken honestly about the challenges that followed her historic breakthrough.
In a recent interview, she recalled how overwhelming the attention became after her victories. Media appearances, public recognition and constant interest changed her everyday life so dramatically that she sometimes stayed at home to escape the attention.
Her experience offers a reminder that sporting success can bring unexpected pressures alongside opportunities. While fans celebrated her achievement, Sherrock was also learning to navigate a completely different level of public attention.
Yet she continued competing, building experience and creating more memorable moments throughout her career.
A Competitive Road Ahead
Sherrock’s latest qualification arrives after a demanding Women’s Series campaign. The 2026 season included impressive performances against leading opponents, although she also experienced disappointing defeats.
In July, she pushed Beau Greaves to a deciding leg in the Women’s World Matchplay final before losing 6–5. More recently, Greaves defeated her in the semi-finals of a Women’s Series event in October.
Those results underline the competitive challenges ahead, but Sherrock’s qualification ensures she has another major opportunity to demonstrate her ability.
Fans Will Be Watching
As anticipation builds for the 2027 World Championship, supporters will be eager to see what Sherrock can achieve on her return to Alexandra Palace.
Her journey has never been defined by one result alone. It is a story of ambition, resilience and a player who helped create a landmark moment in darts history.
