BOMBSHELL: “Now going nowhere” Nuno Espirito Santos with a decisive move after SHOCKING revelation to handing contract extension to Forest powerhouse bound for City Ground success Amid agreement to be reached in coming days.
Ola Aina in Contract Talks as Forest Aim to Secure Key Player’s Future
The 28-year-old defender’s current contract with Nottingham Forest is set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season. Discussions over a new deal are underway, and club officials are optimistic about reaching an agreement to keep him at the City Ground.
Aina has become a vital figure for Forest since joining the club in 2023 on an initial one-year contract, which was extended by an additional 12 months earlier this year. The Nigeria international has cemented his place as the first-choice right-back, overcoming significant competition for the position.
A versatile player with 40 international caps, Aina can also operate at left-back. He started the first three games of the current season in that role before the arrival of Alex Moreno. So far, he has started all 12 of Forest’s Premier League matches this season, playing the full 90 minutes in 10 of them.
As it stands, Aina could negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs starting in January. This would not be unfamiliar territory for the defender, who previously spent five years at Torino in Serie A, making 113 appearances during his time in Italy.
