Oh No: No option left as Clubs medical team confirm Crystal Palace Prodigy will have no continuity taking painkiller as Injury needs urgent intervention and that marks the end of this season campaign for the Young talent.

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton is set to undergo surgery on Sunday to address a hernia injury. The talented 20-year-old has been managing the issue since the season’s start, but Palace opted for surgery after he was forced off early in their Carabao Cup game against Aston Villa.

Since joining from Blackburn Rovers last January, Wharton has attracted attention from top clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Real Madrid. Palace is keen to retain the England international until at least the summer, though they expect interest from elite clubs as he continues to impress.

For now, Palace’s priority is to get Wharton back to full fitness to strengthen their Premier League campaign. They hope he’ll be ready by the end of the month, just in time for matches against Aston Villa and Newcastle United, following the international break.

Palace is also missing Eberechi Eze and Jefferson Lerma due to hamstring injuries. Manager Oliver Glasner commented on the toll of a demanding schedule, especially on players who had no pre-season break due to summer tournaments. He noted, “There comes a moment when you have to pay the bill, and we had to pay it in the last few weeks. But we still have a strong squad.”
