From Grace to Grass: ““It’s hard for me to say goodbye”  Leeds United ACE that broke fans heart by making Instagram farewell now suffering at RECENT club after furious Coach and FANS calls out his head in 4-1 defeat for dropping 6.5 sofascore rating…. Shouldn’t have forxe Elland  Road Exist

Leeds United will be relieved to see the end of the summer transfer window, which proved challenging as the Championship club lost several key players. Despite these departures, Leeds has managed to live up to early-season expectations, remaining unbeaten in their first four league matches.

Leeds Loses £137m in Star Players

Over the summer, Leeds brought in eight new players, a crucial move after seeing 19 players leave Elland Road. The majority of the transfer revenue came from four significant departures: Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur, Luis Sinisterra to Bournemouth, Crysencio Summerville to West Ham, and Georginio Rutter to Brighton in the final days of the window.

These four players were instrumental to Leeds last season and were expected to play key roles again as the club aims to return to the Premier League. However, with Premier League clubs expressing interest and the offers too lucrative to reject, Leeds ultimately earned around £137 million from these sales.

Rutter was the last of the major exits, sharing an emotional farewell with fans on Instagram: “It’s hard for me to say goodbye, but the time has come for me to move on. When I joined Leeds, I knew I was becoming part of something special, but I didn’t realize how much this club would mean to me. Leeds United has been more than just a team for me—it’s been like a family that has supported and helped me grow.

“From day one, you, the fans, have always been there, cheering me on and showing me what it means to play for Leeds. You made me feel at home, and I will always remember that.

“My time here was full of hard work, great moments, and strong friendships. I’m leaving as a better player and a better person, and I’m really thankful for that. Even though I’m heading in a new direction, Leeds United will always be a part of who I am. I wish you all the best for the future and the challenges ahead. Thank you for everything, Leeds. I’ll never forget you. MOT, Georginio.”

£8m Leeds Sale Struggling at New Club

Midfielder Glen Kamara, another summer departure from Leeds, joined French side Rennes for around £8 million after making 42 appearances for Leeds last season.

While Rennes may represent a step up for Kamara, both he and his new club have had a tough start to the season, suffering two losses in their first three games. Kamara has started all three matches, but was substituted after 72 minutes during the weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Reims.

In that match, Kamara had 39 touches and an accurate passing rate of 87%. However, he lost possession nine times and was dribbled past once, resulting in a Sofascore rating of 6.5 and a harsh 3/10 from the French national media.

According to Stade Rennes Online, as reported by Leeds United News, Kamara struggled with the transition to a two-man defensive midfield role: “Efficient in the diamond, he completely sank when paired in front of the defence. Nine ball losses at half-time, difficulties in passing—his partnership with Matusiwa was perforated without managing to create anything.”
