MY DOOR IS OPEN: MAJOR Wilfred Zaha Rollercoaster Palace return emerges as Players wish to overturn tides after disaster class start to life at Lyon.

The 31-year-old departed from the club at the end of the 2022-23 season and signed with Galatasaray to fulfill his ambition of playing in the Champions League.

Zaha netted 10 goals in 42 appearances for Galatasaray last season, including a goal in a 3-2 Champions League victory over Manchester United during the group stage.

The Ivory Coast international made 458 appearances for Crystal Palace across two spells, scoring 90 goals, with 68 of those coming in the Premier League.

Following the departure of key player Michael Olise to Bayern Munich in July, Zaha would provide another attacking option for Palace.

The club has already signed forwards Daichi Kamada and Ismaila Sarr, along with defender Chadi Riad.

In other news, Crystal Palace rejected a £20 million bid from Fulham for center-back Joachim Andersen.

It’s reported that the offer was declined when it was made, with no follow-up bid from Fulham. The Eagles value the 28-year-old defender at closer to £40 million.

Andersen spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Fulham from Lyon.
