PERFECT REUNION: Regis Le Bris set to SHOCK Hull City by handing debut to ex Player to destroy Rosenior.

Sunderland are taking their time integrating their new striker into the team following his recent free transfer to the Stadium of Light.

Aaron Connolly, 24, could make his debut against his former club, Hull City, on Sunday, October 19th, as he works on building his fitness and settling in with his new teammates.

Sunderland’s plans for the new signing
Connolly missed pre-season, so Sunderland’s main priority is to improve his fitness. The club signed him to increase competition and depth in their attacking options.

The Republic of Ireland international, who has earned nine caps for his country, parted ways with Hull City at the end of the last season. Hull decided not to extend his contract after narrowly missing out on the play-offs, leaving Connolly a free agent by late June.

After carefully considering his options, Connolly chose to join Sunderland on a one-year deal. During his time at Hull, he made 36 appearances and scored 10 goals.

If all goes well, the forward could make his debut for the Black Cats against Hull City.

What’s next?
Sunderland will be looking to bounce back from their recent 2-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road as they face Derby County tonight. Currently sitting second in the table behind West Brom, they have won five of their first seven matches under manager Le Bris.
