“Time will tell” Pundit slams frustrated West Ham fans while pinpointing MAJOR reason why Lopetegui seems to be the right person Anid send warning to impatient HAMMERS fans to not force him OUT like they did to Moyes.
The majority of West Ham fans, regardless of whether they supported Moyes or not, were not thrilled with the appointment of Julen Lopetegui. However, many were willing to give him a chance to prove himself. So far, though, he hasn’t made a significant impact.
That being said, as fans, we often focus too much on immediate results rather than what’s happening behind the scenes. Someone like Stuart Pearce, who has a deeper understanding of the club, knows what needs to happen for things to start working.
The former West Ham player and coach acknowledges that the team has been conceding too many goals, but he’s confident that it’s only a matter of time before things improve, given the talent within the squad. “I think some of the recruitment has been very good,” Pearce told talkSPORT. “That’s my opinion. But time will tell. When you look at West Ham’s team on paper, you’ve got Paqueta, Kudus, Jarrod, a real attacking force that can score goals. They’re conceding too many cheap goals, but I believe in time, there will be improvement, no doubt.”
It’s never easy for a manager to take over a new club, especially following one of the Hammers’ most successful managers and having to rebuild the squad. While the recent match against Liverpool showed promising signs, there’s no escaping the fact that only a win against Brentford this weekend will suffice.
