FLASHBACK: “We’ve been pretty good against them” West Ham former boss gives honest Opinion towards the HAMMERS Chelsea defeat at London Stadium Amid Taboo to Lopetegui’s poor outcome.

West Ham United have experienced two consecutive record-breaking starts to a season, but unlike last year’s strong first-half performance, the latest records are less encouraging.

For the first time in their history, the Hammers have lost their opening three home games. While these were challenging fixtures, the poor performances have still been disappointing.

After significant changes over the summer, it’s expected that the team would need time to settle. However, some fans are already regretting the decision to part ways with David Moyes.

Moyes himself pointed out West Ham’s lackluster showing against Chelsea last weekend, noting his solid record against the Blues at the London Stadium. Speaking to beIN Sports, he said, “I thought it was a poor performance, and they’ll be disappointed because we had a pretty good record against Chelsea at the London Stadium over the years. We’ve had difficulties at Stamford Bridge, but at home, we’ve been pretty good against them.”

While Moyes’ comments were factual and not overly critical, he likely understands how tough it can be for a new manager to follow one of the club’s most successful periods. It will be interesting to see how Moyes reacts if things start to improve at West Ham, given that he seems to hold some lingering resentment towards the club. Whether he’ll express happiness for their success remains to be seen.
