DISRESPECTFUL: Refree finally outburst Morgan Gibbs red card penalty while reflecting on aggressive triple red card Fiasco .
With the score tied at 2-2 late in the second half, Gibbs-White received a second yellow card for a reckless challenge on Joao Pedro.
Initially, referee Rob Jones seemed to suggest that the Forest player had gotten the ball, making the shape of a football with his hands.
However, he soon changed his decision, issuing Gibbs-White a second yellow card.
Gibbs-White was seen angrily shouting at fourth official Anthony Taylor, pointing his finger in frustration, but his protests were in vain.
Following the incident, both Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler and his Forest counterpart were also sent off by the referee. The officials cited “unacceptable technical area behavior” as the reason.
Nuno was visibly furious with the referee and was also seen expressing his anger toward Taylor.
While Hurzeler’s initial reaction was not broadcast, cameras captured his stunned expression as he received his red card, his mouth agape and shoulders shrugged in disbelief.
This was Hurzeler’s second career red card, with his first coming during his time at Sheffield United, where he also received two bookings.
