BOMBSHELL: Nuno Espirito Santos make big Marinakis claim over Forest PL plan this season

BOMBSHELL: Nuno Espirito Santos make big Marinakis claim over Forest PL plan this season.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team delivered the biggest upset of the season last weekend with a stunning victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

Despite the Reds sitting comfortably in the top half of the table with double the points of teams like Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest’s success hasn’t been down to luck. The club has had an impressive summer, both on and off the pitch.

This strong start has many at Forest confident that Nuno is the right man to lead the club forward. It also appears that Nuno is equally impressed with the developments at the club beyond football over recent months.

### Nuno Espirito Santo on Evangelos Marinakis
There’s been plenty for Forest fans to be encouraged by this season, even before the win over Liverpool. Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd praised Forest’s attacking approach in their opening game of the season.

Forest’s progress on the field is being mirrored off it, with owner Evangelos Marinakis working to elevate the club since their return to the Premier League. During a press conference ahead of Sunday’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion, Nuno spoke about the club’s ambitions beyond the pitch.

“It motivates everyone. He’s the top authority at the club, and his ambition is what guides us. He wants to see the club grow and become stable,” Nuno told BBC Sport.

“If the City Ground holds 50,000 fans, great. As long as it’s here, that’s what drives us. From the owner to everyone at the training ground, everyone needs to commit and understand they’re part of something that wants to grow. We need everyone on board.”

### Nottingham Forest’s Ambition to Return to the Top
One of the key developments off the pitch is Marinakis’ plan to expand the City Ground’s capacity. His dedication to the club is clear, as he aims to return Forest to the top end of the table.

This backing from Marinakis is having a positive effect on the team’s results so far. However, it’s still early in the season, and just one result could shift the mood at Forest.

For now, though, it seems everyone at the club is aligned and working towards the same goals.
