“under pressure” Club insider share MAJOR Farke Elland Road future pinpointing at Cardiff clash to be the determinant of……

Leeds United are set to travel to Wales this weekend to face Cardiff City, but ahead of the match, they’ve been hit with a significant injury concern that will undoubtedly worry manager Daniel Farke.

Leeds have had a mixed start to the season, winning only two of their five league matches. The recent defeat to Burnley has increased pressure on Farke, leading to speculation about his future at the club.

Leeds Considering Potential Successors for Farke
Although the season is still in its early stages, Farke is already under scrutiny following the club’s failure to secure promotion last season. According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, while Farke’s position is not immediately under threat, his long-term future is uncertain, and the club is keeping an eye on potential replacements.

One of the names being considered is West Brom manager Carlos Corberan, who is “highly regarded” by Leeds’ hierarchy. O’Rourke also reported that Corberan has a £2 million release clause, making it relatively easy for Leeds to bring him in. Corberan, who joined West Brom in October 2022, has impressed despite not yet securing promotion, consistently making the team competitive in the Championship. Other clubs are also reportedly interested in the 41-year-old coach.

Farke needs strong performances to quiet the rumors, and Saturday’s match against a struggling Cardiff City is crucial. However, Leeds have suffered a major injury setback ahead of the game.

Leeds Dealt “Major” Injury Concern Before Cardiff Clash
According to BBC’s Adam Pope, Leeds winger Manor Solomon is a “major” doubt for the game against Cardiff due to a back problem. The 25-year-old joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur last month and has made two appearances so far.

Farke shared the injury update in a press conference at Thorp Arch, stating: “Manor Solomon is the major injury doubt with a back problem ahead of Saturday’s Championship fixture at Cardiff City. Patrick Bamford is expected to be involved.”

Solomon, who joined Spurs on a free transfer after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk, had a forgettable first season in England, making just six appearances without scoring. After Spurs strengthened their squad over the summer, manager Ange Postecoglou allowed Solomon to leave on loan. The winger started Leeds’ last two games, even providing an assist in their 2-0 win over Hull City before the international break, but his availability for the Cardiff match now looks doubtful.
