“Am going nowhere” Plain Marc Guehi message passed on to EPL clubs silivating to get him Out of Selhurst Park following new Eddie Howe January plot.

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi was a key target for Newcastle United over the summer following his standout performances for England at Euro 2024. Despite Palace valuing the 24-year-old at £70 million and Newcastle submitting four bids, no agreement was reached.

Guehi may reject Chelsea’s approach next summer
It remains uncertain whether Newcastle will renew their interest in Guehi during the January transfer window. However, if the defender continues to perform well this season, there will likely be plenty of interest from other clubs next summer.

Guehi is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2026, but if he doesn’t agree to a new deal, next summer could be Palace’s last opportunity to secure a substantial transfer fee. His price tag may drop due to his contract situation.

According to Football Insider, Guehi might decline a return to Chelsea, even if they make an offer, as he’s expected to receive “more attractive” proposals from other clubs. Although Chelsea reportedly included a matching rights clause when they sold Guehi to Palace in 2021, the final decision will be his, even if the Blues trigger the clause.

The report also suggests that Liverpool may enter the race to sign Guehi, with an eye on finding a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk. However, Guehi is said to favor a move elsewhere due to Chelsea’s transfer strategy and their treatment of players.

Chelsea are in the market for a center-back, but if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season, their chances of signing Guehi could diminish significantly.

Since joining Palace for £18 million in 2021, Guehi has become the club’s captain and has made 116 appearances for the Eagles.
