“I want him here” Mikel Arteta set to HIJACK Palace ACE after source reveal Genuine interest…. Player might change turf from Selhurst Park to North London.

According to Charles Watts in the *Daily Briefing*, Arsenal showed interest in Eberechi Eze during the summer transfer window, but that’s as far as it went. The club never made an official bid for the Crystal Palace midfielder, and no other teams did either, leaving Eze at Palace.

This summer, Eze had a £68 million release clause in his contract, but it expired midway through the window. Reports suggest that the clause will become active again in 2025, with the price remaining at £60 million plus £8 million in add-ons. Crystal Palace might also be open to negotiating a different deal.

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have been linked with interest in Eze, as reported by Sami Mokbel. Earlier in the summer, *The Guardian*’s Ed Aarons added that Arsenal and Manchester City were also in the mix.

Interestingly, Eze spent time at Arsenal’s academy but was released at the age of 13, a decision that left him devastated. Now a key player for Palace, Eze made 31 appearances last season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists. He’s started the new season strongly, with two goals in four matches, and recently made substitute appearances for England during the international break.
