JUST IN: Nuno set for a January Transfer masterplan with SIGHT on 19yr Old superb wider man “welcomed” for a SHOCKING swoop to City Ground.

Nottingham Forest are hoping that their sensible summer transfer activity will help them climb the Premier League table as they return from the international break. With the transfer window closing almost two weeks ago, the Reds can reflect on several strong signings. Now, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will look to maintain the team’s promising start when they face Liverpool on Saturday (3 pm kick-off).

Despite the window closing, transfer rumors continue to circulate. Below is a look at the latest transfer news surrounding Forest.

### January Target
Although the summer window has just closed, clubs are already eyeing potential January moves, and Forest are no exception. Reports suggest that Forest are monitoring Real Zaragoza winger Adrian Liso with the possibility of making a move in the new year. According to Spanish outlet *El Periodico*, Zaragoza would be open to an approach for the 19-year-old, who has a £13 million release clause, as the club could use the funds. Forest scouts were reportedly in attendance to watch Liso play against Elche last weekend, though Getafe are also said to be interested.

### Deadline Day Bid
Forest completed the signings of midfielder James Ward-Prowse and center-back Morato just before the transfer deadline on August 30. However, a report claims they were pursuing one more deal. Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reported (via *Sport Witness*) that Forest made a €25 million (£21 million) bid for Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz on deadline day. Offers were also said to have come in from clubs in Germany, Italy, and France. However, Galatasaray did not respond to the bids or name a price as they were determined to keep the player, meaning negotiations with any potential buyers did not progress.

### Interest in Kelleher
Forest also made efforts to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher before the summer window closed. According to *The Athletic*, Forest proposed a deal worth £7 million plus Matt Turner for the 25-year-old goalkeeper. However, Liverpool rejected the bid, as it fell short of their £30 million valuation. A previous £15 million bid from Forest in January was also turned down.

Liverpool reportedly had no interest in Matt Turner, who eventually joined Crystal Palace on loan. Meanwhile, Kelleher has expressed his desire for more regular playing time. “I’ve made it clear over the past few years that I want to go somewhere and be a number one,” the Republic of Ireland international said this week. “Liverpool have rejected a few bids. My ambition is clear. I know I’m good enough, and I want to play week in, week out.”
