Leeds had been searching for a winger after Crysencio Summerville’s departure to West Ham, and Rak-Sakyi was a prime target. However, they faced stiff competition from several Championship teams and eventually lost out to their promotion rivals, Sheffield United.
Rak-Sakyi acknowledged Leeds’ interest but revealed that a conversation with Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder was the deciding factor in his decision. He explained that after speaking with the Blades boss, he was convinced to join the team on loan.
“My agent informed me of Leeds’ interest, and I knew it was a big club,” Rak-Sakyi told *The Star*. “But after speaking with the manager here, I was really impressed with his vision and plans for me. That made me decide to come here.”
Leeds later strengthened their wing options by signing Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon toward the end of the transfer window. Since joining Sheffield United, Rak-Sakyi has made three appearances but has yet to register a goal or an assist.
