BEST OPTION: Nottingham Forest informed of few free agents name including Ex Man Utd attacker with 65 PL Goal as players remain clubless with no bidders.
Nottingham Forest have been active in the transfer market, securing six new players this summer, with Jota Silva from Vitoria Guimaraes being the most recent acquisition. However, reports suggest they’re still looking to strengthen their squad, particularly in the striker position due to Taiwo Awoniyi’s injury concerns.
An intriguing option has emerged in the form of Anthony Martial, who recently became a free agent after his contract with Manchester United expired. Despite interest from French clubs Lyon and Marseille, as well as Turkish side Besiktas, Martial remains unsigned.
Forest could potentially benefit from pursuing Martial, a player known for his clinical finishing and who has scored 63 Premier League goals. The club has previously shown success in revitalizing careers, as seen with Callum Hudson-Odoi, and could aim to do the same with Martial.
The free agent market offers several other notable options for Forest to consider. These include defender Mario Hermoso, formerly of Atletico Madrid, who’s reportedly caught Aston Villa’s attention. Memphis Depay is another possibility, though currently injured. Ex-Liverpool center-back Joel Matip is also available.
Given the quality of players available without transfer fees, Nottingham Forest’s management might find significant value in exploring these options to further bolster their squad.
