“I had that conversation with him” Former Chealsea boss advice the Magpies to SIGN 22yr Old Ace player as the perfect piece needed at St. James Park.
Chelsea’s former winger Noni Madueke could be an ideal signing for Newcastle United, based on Frank Lampard’s assessment of the young player.
Madueke, 22, joined Chelsea in January 2023 under Graham Potter’s management. He later played under Lampard, who took over as caretaker manager in April 2023 for the remainder of the season.
Despite Chelsea’s challenging season, which resulted in their lowest Premier League points tally, Madueke impressed Lampard. The Chelsea legend praised not only Madueke’s skills but also his personality, which aligns well with Eddie Howe’s management style at Newcastle.
Lampard noted in May 2023 that Madueke quickly demonstrated his talent in training. He also showed resilience and personality by performing well during a difficult period for the club.
Reports suggest that a £40 million fee might persuade Chelsea to sell Madueke, with a significant portion potentially funded by Miguel Almiron’s possible departure from Newcastle.
Under Howe’s management and the new ownership, Newcastle has been acquiring young, high-quality players. Madueke could potentially form an attacking trio with Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak, joining other notable young signings like Sven Botman.
While the deal seems logical and Lampard’s comments support Madueke’s suitability for Newcastle, the club is known for adhering strictly to their player valuations. As a result, negotiations might continue until the latter stages of the transfer window.
