“Will be a HUGE upgrade if it happens” Leeds edge on a transfer deal of EPL monumental Winger that will help quench Elland Road trophy drought

“Will be a HUGE upgrade if it happens” Leeds edge on a transfer deal of EPL monumental Winger that will help quench Elland Road trophy drought.

Leeds United has made some good signings in the transfer window, including Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle. However, they’re still looking to strengthen their squad as manager Daniel Farke aims to improve on last season’s performance.

The club is now reportedly interested in a striker who could potentially help them win promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds and Ipswich Town are both linked with Blackburn Rovers’ attacking midfielder Sammie Szmodics. Ipswich appears to be the frontrunner, but no deal has been finalized due to disagreements over the player’s valuation.

If Leeds manages to sign Szmodics, it could significantly boost their promotion chances. He scored an impressive 27 league goals last season, winning the Golden Boot award. Under Farke’s management, he might be able to maintain this form.

Szmodics has only one year left on his Blackburn contract, so his transfer fee is unlikely to exceed £10 million. Ipswich’s £6 million bid was rejected, with Blackburn reportedly asking for £8 million – a price that should be within Leeds’ budget.

If Leeds can present an appealing project to Szmodics, with the promise of potential Premier League football next season, they might be able to convince him to join their club instead.
