REPORT: Nuno Espiroto Santos pressures Club managing diretor to SIGN 23yr Old natural born Winger that can take-on any defender with no doubt…. Nottingham Forest attack will be unstoppable with this Player forming a Duo with Hudson Odoi.
Nottingham Forest, having secured their Premier League status for two consecutive seasons under Nuno Espirito Santo, are now aiming to establish themselves in mid-table. To achieve this, they’re looking to strengthen their squad, particularly in attacking areas.
Recent reports suggest that Forest have made a move for Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto. According to Africa Foot, they’ve submitted a bid of £16.9 million for the Italian international. However, Leeds are expected to reject this offer, as they’re reportedly holding out for a fee closer to £30 million, as per TEAMtalk.
Gnonto, who was keen to leave Leeds last summer with Everton showing interest, stayed at Elland Road and finished the season with nine goals and three assists across all competitions. The 13-cap Italy international, born in 2003, had to earn his place in the starting lineup, initially behind Daniel James in the pecking order.
Leeds United, facing financial pressures after failing to gain promotion and with reduced parachute payments, may be forced to sell some of their valuable assets. Gnonto, who was shortlisted for the Golden Boy award in 2022, could be one of the players moved on to help the club comply with Profit and Sustainability regulations.
The potential sale of Gnonto could provide Leeds with significant funds to cover their planned summer expenditure. However, the gap between Forest’s bid and Leeds’ valuation suggests negotiations may be challenging.
