Nottingham forest in brutal Transfer chase to SIGN Top rated defender who is better than Willy Bolt following Murillo Exist possibility.

As the summer transfer window has just opened, Nottingham Forest are preparing to engage in some business. However, not all of their activities will involve incoming transfers this time around. The Reds need to raise £20 million to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

Nevertheless, if a significant departure occurs, Forest will require reinforcements to come in as replacements. One player linked with an exit from the City Ground is Murillo, and as a result, the Reds have now been linked with a central defender.

According to L’Equipe, Nottingham Forest are among several clubs keeping tabs on Le Havre defender Etienne Youte Kinkoue. The French defender joined his current club from Olympiacos, where he failed to make a single first-team appearance.

During the 2023/24 season, Kinkoue burst onto the scene, accumulating 24 appearances for Le Havre. The French club is preparing to lose some of their top talents this summer, with both Forest and West Ham monitoring Kinkoue’s situation.

The center-back has helped Le Havre gain promotion back to Ligue 1 since arriving in France, but he could now be on the move once again.

Comparing Kinkoue’s statistics to some of Forest’s defenders, he might prove to be a useful signing. He has had the opportunity to play first-team football with Le Havre and is regarded as a promising talent for the future.

Given the limited game time Murillo had before joining Forest, it should ease any skepticism among the fan base regarding this potential signing.

According to Squawka, Kinkoue made more passes, clearances, and interceptions than Willy Boly did last season from roughly the same number of games. Boly did come out on top in terms of headers, which is arguably his strongest trait.

This deal could be one that Forest could wrap up quickly this summer if they choose to pursue it. Le Havre appears to be in a position where they may lose some of their top talents, and they are currently at the mercy of bigger clubs when it comes to their star players.

Forest will likely look to sign a central defender during the transfer window, and Kinkoue fits the profile that the Reds are likely seeking.
