Oh No: Clubs medical team confirmed the Black Cats undisputed Trio ruled out Millwall clash.

Sunderland will be missing three key players for Saturday’s Championship clash against Millwall in South London.

The Black Cats currently sit atop the Championship table on goal difference, tied on 31 points with Sheffield United. Regis Le Bris’ side remain unbeaten in their last five league games but have drawn their last three matches.

Eighth-placed Millwall will face a Sunderland squad without Jobe Bellingham, who is serving the final match of his suspension following a red card in the goalless draw against QPR. Notably, Sunderland have yet to win without the former Birmingham City midfielder.

Right-back Trai Hume will also be unavailable after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season in the game against Coventry before the international break. Hume, a vital player for Sunderland, has featured in every minute of their Championship campaign so far.

Similarly, right winger Patrick Roberts is ruled out due to suspension, having also accumulated five yellow cards this season. The ex-Fulham and Celtic attacker has contributed to four goals in the Championship this season, making his absence another blow for Sunderland.
