Jawdropping News to the BLACK CATS fans as long Forgotten injured Top Class finally given medical greenlight as Sunderland maintain Top spot over Leeds as Title contention .
Sunderland U21 talent Timur Tutierov has expressed his determination to break into the first team soon, despite facing multiple challenging injury setbacks.
The Ukrainian has been a regular presence in Graeme Murty’s development squad whenever fit and even caught the eye of senior coach Regis Le Bris, who included him on the bench for Sunderland’s Championship match against Portsmouth earlier this season.
Tutierov is still awaiting his first-team debut but, at 19, is eager to make it happen sooner rather than later. In an interview with the club’s media team, he said, “I don’t want to stay in one place; I want to progress, and I know I can. I’m confident I can grow and improve. I want to keep moving forward, and hopefully, I’ll get a chance with the first team.”
Reflecting on his journey, he added, “At first, it was tough, coming from another country with a different language and football style. I’ve had injuries that kept me out, and that’s hard because you want to be on the field helping the team. These setbacks have prevented me from playing at my best. Now, after overcoming a few injuries, I hope to stay healthy and play as many games as possible.”
Tutierov also praised his teammates and Sunderland’s academy staff for helping him adjust to life on Wearside. “It’s been great; they’ve opened my eyes to so many things I hadn’t even considered. All the small details help me progress in my career and adapt to English football quickly.”
“We support each other, keeping the team spirit and motivation high. We all share the same goal: to succeed in football. This season, we’ve already shown our improvement both in and out of possession, so I believe our goals will only get better as the season progresses.”
The teenager joined Sunderland from FC Kolos Kovalivka last year and has started this season strongly, scoring twice and providing one assist in five Premier League appearances.
