CHASE ON: Still a Top priority as Tottenham intend on making silent plot by using Key Player after reigniting Fresh interest in Crystal Palace Prodigy.
Tottenham and other clubs may be set to pursue Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze in January, after Palace chairman Steve Parish expressed surprise at the lack of summer interest in the player.
Spurs were among the clubs linked with the England international during the transfer window, but no formal move was made, meaning Eze will remain at Palace until at least January.
According to the *Daily Mail*, the midfielder’s £68 million release clause will become active again in January, though Palace may be open to negotiating a lower fee.
Following the close of the transfer window, Parish admitted his concerns about potentially losing another key player, especially after the sales of Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen.
“I was really worried about losing both Michael and Ebbs (Eze) in the same window,” Parish told *Sky Sports News*. “We didn’t get the level of interest in Ebbs that I expected. I was genuinely astounded. He’s an outstanding footballer and an outstanding person.”
