“Seems to be happening” as UNEXPECTED Sunderland young Talent transfer twist emerges with EPL club receiving positive answer towards Players possible exist from Stadium of Light.

Sunderland have had a fantastic start to the new Championship season, and while Saturday’s defeat to Plymouth Argyle was a setback, it shouldn’t overshadow their strong recent performances.

Regis Le Bris has been making a significant impact at the Stadium of Light, despite losing one of his key players late in the summer transfer window. Jack Clarke, who tormented Championship defenses for two years, was sold to Ipswich Town in August. The deal, however, only brought Sunderland around £13.5 million due to Tottenham Hotspur’s sell-on clause.

Losing a player of Clarke’s caliber is always difficult, but Sunderland have continued to push forward and may now face interest in another rising star during the January transfer window.

Sunderland fighting to keep Tom Watson
While Clarke was already a proven Championship player, Tom Watson is a different case, emerging as a promising talent for the future. At just 18 years old, Watson, who hails from nearby Easington, has come through Sunderland’s academy and made three first-team appearances. The winger is being seen as a potential successor to Clarke on the flanks.

Nottingham Forest has shown interest in Watson, but it’s Brighton and Hove Albion that are pushing hardest to secure his signature. According to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, Brighton hopes to lure Watson by leveraging his friendship with former Sunderland teammate Josh Robertson, who joined Brighton in January. The two remain close, and a move to Brighton reportedly appeals to Watson if he decides to leave Sunderland.

Sunderland has already rejected multiple offers from Brighton, but they expect bids to exceed £2.5 million as January approaches.

Watson turning heads
The excitement surrounding Watson is justified. He has showcased excellent close control and dribbling ability in Premier League 2, with his dazzling runs drawing comparisons to Clarke. The young winger has already scored two goals and provided one assist in just three Premier League 2 appearances this season, suggesting that more first-team opportunities are on the horizon.

Described as a “destructive” talent by Sunderland’s Under-21 manager Graeme Murty, Watson has the potential to become a future star. The hope is that he will continue his rise with Sunderland, but if Brighton increases their bid in January, Watson could be on the move.
