“Lacks Discipline” Leeds United forward bring disappointment to the YORSHIRE after drawing media attention with SHOCKING bench incidence.

Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto has faced criticism after being spotted on his phone while sitting on the bench during Italy U21’s 7-0 victory over San Marino on Thursday.

Gnonto captained the Azzurrini during the first half of the match, which extended their unbeaten run in U21 Euro qualifying after eight games. The 20-year-old had an impressive performance, completing eight of nine dribbles, taking two shots on target, and creating two chances.

He was substituted at halftime, replaced by Frosinone’s Giuseppe Ambrosino after seemingly picking up a knock from a tough tackle by San Marino. However, Gnonto stirred controversy when he was seen alongside two teammates looking at his phone instead of watching the remainder of the match.

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni criticized Gnonto for being “totally distracted by the magic of the iPhone,” accusing him of either browsing social media or reading a message from his girlfriend. Zazzaroni labeled the moment as “Football 3.0,” expressing frustration over the player’s behavior.

Italy U21 coach Carmine Nunziata will likely ensure that Gnonto’s phone remains in the dressing room for their next game away against Norway on Tuesday.
