“You can’t rely on him, he’s never fit and that’s a BIG problem if Leeds want to win the Title” Pundit slams Daniel Farke’s high hope on £10m Player who is always slowing down Leeds win.

Leeds United have bounced back impressively after a shaky start to the season, which included a 3-3 draw against Portsmouth and a 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup. The team has since secured three consecutive clean sheets, starting with a solid point and clean sheet at West Brom, followed by two convincing 2-0 victories—first against Sheffield Wednesday and then Hull City on Saturday.

Despite some first-half chances for Hull City, Leeds always seemed in control, with goals from Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe ensuring a comfortable win, marking their second victory of the 2024-25 season.

Former Leeds manager Neil Redfearn, speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, pointed out a “problem” with Patrick Bamford, who was sidelined once again due to injury. Redfearn stressed that Leeds cannot rely on Bamford, who has struggled with fitness, and emphasized the need for a dependable striker to support Joseph, who can’t shoulder the entire burden.

After just two signings on deadline day—Ao Tanaka and Isaac Schmidt—Leeds fans were frustrated. However, the disappointment was somewhat alleviated by the announcement of Wilfried Gnonto’s new contract, followed by the weekend’s win and clean sheet.

With Piroe’s clinical finish reminding fans of his capabilities, the question arises whether Leeds should have considered selling Bamford during the transfer window. As one of the club’s highest earners, now reduced to third-choice striker, his future at Leeds seems more uncertain than ever. Given his age, injury record, and high wages, finding a club willing to take a chance on him might have been difficult, but his place in the squad is clearly in doubt.
