BAD NEWS: Lorient reject Regis Le Bris multiple effort to reunite with Top Winger who was totally unstoppable to Ligue 1 defenders.
Sunderland made several attempts to sign FC Lorient’s star Mohamed Bamba during the last transfer window, according to *Ouest-France*. Despite the Black Cats’ persistent efforts, including multiple offers, Lorient refused to let the striker go.
Régis Le Bris, who joined Sunderland after spending two seasons at Lorient, had signed the 22-year-old Bamba from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC during his final transfer window at the French club in January.
Le Bris seemingly persuaded Sunderland to pursue Bamba, with the Championship club reportedly making their final bid at around €11 million. However, Lorient rejected all of Sunderland’s bids. *Ouest-France* also notes that with the transfer window still open in some leagues, there remains a possibility that Bamba could still depart from Lorient.
