“What is going on at St. James Park” Pundit make worrying comment after 2 vital Players finalize medicals OUT of Newcastle with Zero arrivals despite Transfer window deadline countdown.

The Marc Guehi deal officially fell through this afternoon, as it became clear that Crystal Palace never intended to sell the defender, despite some hope among optimistic Newcastle fans when Palace signed two center-backs earlier today.

Following this, Newcastle attempted to bring in Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, but negotiations stalled when Forest demanded a player in exchange, which Newcastle was unwilling to do.

In terms of departures, Newcastle has been active. Earlier, Joe White joined MK Dons, and now two more players have exited the club this evening.

Harrison Ashby and Ryan Fraser have moved on
Harrison Ashby completed a season-long loan move to QPR earlier this evening, and now it has been confirmed that Ryan Fraser has returned to Southampton after spending last season there on loan.

Southampton announced that Fraser has signed a two-year deal after a summer of anticipation, with the deal finally coming to fruition. Reports earlier suggested that Newcastle and Fraser were negotiating to terminate his contract, and with no transfer fee mentioned, it seems that’s how the move was finalized.

Who’s happier, Fraser or Howe?
Fraser has declared himself the “happiest man in Southampton” now that the deal is done. Eddie Howe is likely just as pleased to have finally moved on from the player.

With just an hour remaining before the transfer window closes, this might be Newcastle’s last piece of business until January, unless any fringe players move to clubs with later transfer deadlines.
