GOOD NEWS: “Hopeful Sunderland’s hard work on the striker front will pay off next week” Regis Le Bris drops mindblowing Sunderland striker search Transfer update that shows Kyril Louis Dreyfus really want EFL trophy at Stadium of Light this season.

Sunderland FC, nicknamed the Black Cats, are still in search of a striker ahead of their upcoming match against Sheffield Wednesday. Recent acquisition Ian Poveda is not expected to play against his former team.

Manager Le Bris remains optimistic that their efforts to secure a forward will bear fruit in the coming week. It’s unclear whether they’ll sign one or multiple strikers, or if the deal will be permanent or a loan. Le Bris stated that both options are being considered.

Le Bris explained that while no deal is imminent, they’re actively negotiating with various players. He acknowledged the challenges of the current transfer market but expressed confidence in finding success soon.

The manager emphasized the difficulty in acquiring a prolific striker who can also make runs behind the defense, noting that many teams are competing for such players. He stressed the importance of persistence and maintaining their strategy, as deals can materialize unexpectedly.

Regarding potential departures, Pierre Ekwah’s future is uncertain amid interest from Udinese, while Jack Clarke continues to attract attention from Premier League clubs. Le Bris maintained that both players are currently training with the team and available for selection.

Ian Poveda, though improving and participating in full training sessions, is still not match-fit. Le Bris explained that they’re focusing on building Poveda’s fitness for long-term benefits rather than rushing him into short appearances.
