FINALLY: Best news so far as HUGE transfer boost to Celtic fans confitrmed as Italian Club Manager confirm imminent departure of ACE Player after several link to Brendan Rodgers side.
Atalanta’s manager Gian Piero Gasperini has revealed that midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is likely to leave the club. The 26-year-old Dutch player, who was instrumental in Atalanta’s Europa League victory last season, has reportedly agreed to join Juventus.
In a candid interview, Gasperini expressed frustration with Koopmeiners’ behavior, stating that the player has refused to train or play with Atalanta since deciding to move to Juventus. The manager emphasized that this attitude makes Koopmeiners unusable for the team.
Atalanta’s management is taking a firm stance on the transfer, feeling pressured by the situation. While Juventus has offered €50 million for Koopmeiners, Atalanta is holding out for €65 million.
Ironically, while demanding a high fee for Koopmeiners, Atalanta is pursuing Celtic’s Matt O’Riley with offers ranging from £14 million to £20 million. Celtic, however, is maintaining its position, insisting on a record-breaking transfer fee for O’Riley.
Celtic appears content to retain O’Riley, especially with another UEFA Champions League campaign on the horizon. This could potentially increase O’Riley’s value and attract interest from major clubs in Europe’s top five leagues.
Both Atalanta and Brighton are expected to continue their pursuit of O’Riley, but Celtic seems determined to keep the talented Danish midfielder unless their valuation is met.
