REALLY HAPPENING: Leeds United might be favored with HUGE late Summerville transfer twist that will get Leeds United fans shocked…. Is there a chance for one last fight to hold him down?
Earlier this week, Leeds and West Ham reportedly agreed on a transfer for Dutch talent Crysencio Summerville, with a £25 million upfront fee and £9 million in add-ons. However, German reporter Florian Plettenberg suggests the deal isn’t finalized yet.
Plettenberg claims there are still unresolved issues among all parties. Summerville is considering contract lengths between four to five years, and the transfer fee hasn’t been fully settled between the clubs.
Despite Summerville completing his medical in London on Thursday, the transfer could potentially stall due to these disagreements. His planned join-up with West Ham teammates in the US for pre-season may be delayed.
While the transfer is expected to conclude in the coming days, Leeds now face the challenge of replacing their star player, who won the EFL Championship Player of the Season award after contributing to 31 goals last season.
Leeds are targeting several players to fill the gap, including:
1. Gabriel Sara (Norwich City) – A recent £5 million bid was rejected, with Norwich asking around £20 million.
2. Jordan James (Birmingham City) – The Welsh midfielder has one year left on his contract.
3. Dejan Ljubičić (FC Köln) – Leeds had an offer rejected for the midfielder.
With only two signings so far this transfer window, Leeds are under pressure to strengthen their squad following Summerville’s impending departure.
