UPDATE: Eagles ready swoop for Star Player over Olivier Glasners recent interest in Young defender who will be a threat to Guehi’s position.
Crystal Palace considers replacements as top clubs pursue Marc Guehi
Crystal Palace is preparing for the potential departure of Marc Guehi, as Premier League giants show strong interest in the England international defender.
Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly leading the race for Guehi’s signature. Liverpool’s interest dates back to the start of the summer, while Arsenal has recently emerged as a serious contender. The Gunners may even consider including Eddie Nketiah in a deal to secure Guehi.
With Palace valuing Guehi at around £65 million, the club is exploring alternatives should he leave. One potential target is QPR’s Jake Clarke-Salter, valued at approximately £8 million. Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in the 26-year-old defender.
Clarke-Salter, a Chelsea academy product, has impressed at QPR, helping the club avoid relegation last season. Despite limited opportunities at Chelsea, he was highly regarded in their youth setup and gained experience through various loan spells.
If the move materializes, it could provide Clarke-Salter with his first real opportunity to establish himself in the Premier League, potentially filling the void left by Guehi at Selhurst Park.
