“Not a big deal anymore” Perfect Gnonto and Summerville replacement now on Leeds United and Daniel Farke’s summer transfer wishlist as Elland Road Duo future remain uncertain.

Leeds United’s Transfer Strategy Amid Potential Player Departures

Leeds United are preparing for potential departures of Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville this summer. The club has identified transfer targets to replace these key players if they leave.

Despite missing out on promotion last season, Leeds are determined to retain their top talents. However, they acknowledge the possibility of losing Gnonto and Summerville, who have attracted interest from several clubs.

Leeds maintain they don’t need to sell and will only do so on their terms. Both players are currently participating in pre-season training in Germany.

Summerville has been linked with West Ham, Rennes, and previously Roma, while Chelsea is also reportedly interested. Everton remains keen on Gnonto, with personal terms not expected to be an issue.

Leeds’ transfer team, led by Nick Hammond and Gretar Steinsson, have been actively scouting for replacements. One confirmed target is Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, though Southampton is also interested in the young winger.

Former Leeds player Jack Clarke, now at Sunderland, is another potential target, with reports suggesting he could be available for around £20m.

Contrary to recent reports, Blackburn’s Sammie Szmodics is not currently on Leeds’ radar, despite his impressive goal-scoring record last season.

Leeds are prepared to act swiftly in the transfer market if Gnonto and Summerville depart, with the club ready to “push the button” on signing replacements when necessary.
