GOOD NEWS: Nuno Espirito Santos and Nottingham Forest now 100% certain of SIGNING decent defender for a very cheap price tag.
Nottingham Forest’s summer has started positively, with the club making significant moves in the transfer market. They’ve already brought in five new players and managed to sell some for substantial fees, easing concerns about Financial Fair Play regulations.
Despite these additions, Forest are not done with their transfer business. They’re reportedly close to securing their sixth signing of the summer, with Brazilian youngster Riquelme Fillipi from Palmeiras being the target. Negotiations are said to be at an advanced stage, with a potential fee around £5 million.
Forest’s recent success with Brazilian talent, particularly Murillo, has encouraged them to explore this market further. Riquelme, a 17-year-old forward who can play on either wing, played a key role in Brazil’s recent Under-17 South American Championship victory.
The young player models his game after Neymar Jr. but also emphasizes his versatility, stating he can adapt to different formations and even play as a centre forward if needed. He describes himself as a fast, dribbling player with a focus on finishing.
Meanwhile, Forest continue their pre-season preparations. They recently drew 1-1 with Sunderland in a friendly in Spain, following a win against Chesterfield. Their next match is against Millwall, where new signing Nikola Milenkovic might make his debut.
