“We didn’t expect him to comeback” Graham Smyth makes Fresh inside Elland Road Transfer Claim on £11m Leeds United star who has been avoiding a possible return to Leeds and Championship as Player reveal he will play for Leeds.

Leeds United has been gradually addressing the situation of eight first-team players who left on loan last summer. While Robin Koch and Luis Sinisterra have clarified their long-term futures during the season, Brenden Aaronson was surprisingly offered a chance to redeem himself at Elland Road by manager Daniel Farke.

Max Wober, Rasmus Kristensen, and Diego Llorente face uncertain futures, lacking the option for another loan move. There’s a possibility that Wober and Kristensen might return like Aaronson. Jack Harrison has rejoined Everton on a second loan, while Marc Roca is set for a permanent move to Real Betis.

The mass exodus of these players last summer was met with animosity from Leeds supporters. Aaronson’s early reintegration may help repair his relationship with fans, while delays for others like Wober and Kristensen could make their potential returns more challenging.

According to Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post, Harrison’s decision to leave on loan again likely marks the end of his Leeds career, even if the club gains promotion next season. Smyth suggests that choosing to be away from Leeds twice in a row makes a future return unlikely.

Regarding Harrison’s future, there were initial reports of a £20 million buyout option for Everton. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano indicates there’s a “concrete possibility” of Everton making the deal permanent this summer, potentially for more than the £11 million Leeds paid Manchester City in 2021. This possibility may depend on the outcome of Everton’s takeover.
