SAD NEWS: 26yr Old Leeds United Outcast now give once-and-for-all decision by revealing Zero interest of playing at Elland Road next season saying Daniel Farke disappointed him.

Max Wober, the Austrian defender, faced scrutiny after an unfortunate performance in Austria’s opening Euro 2024 match against France. His headed own goal gave France a 1-0 victory, and he also received a yellow card for a late challenge on Ousmane Dembele before being substituted in the 59th minute, marking a challenging night for him in Dusseldorf.

In an interview with the German outlet BILD, Wober addressed his uncertain future with Leeds United. He stated that Leeds has informed him that discussions regarding his situation will take place once the European Championships conclude, as they want him to remain focused on representing Austria for now.

Last summer, Wober activated a loan release clause in his Leeds contract, enabling him to join Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga for the 2023/24 season. However, his future is unlikely to remain with the Bundesliga club.

Wober mentioned bidding farewell to everyone at Monchengladbach and expressing gratitude for the “cool year” he spent there, but he has not received any further updates regarding his future.

The defender expressed his “ideal scenario” as becoming the European champion with Austria and then taking a nice two or three-week holiday.

Wober remains under contract with Leeds United until the summer of 2027, and according to German sources, the club values him at approximately £13 million. However, Monchengladbach is currently unwilling to meet that asking price, valuing the defender at around £6 million instead.
