BREATHTAKING NEWS: Now done deal and bound to play at City Ground as Nuno Espirito Santos first summer recruitment medical date scheduled Amid Player says goodbye to former club.

After narrowly avoiding relegation last season and facing charges for breaching financial fair play regulations, Leeds United are adopting a cautious approach in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The club previously had an agreement in place to sign Miguel from Brazilian side Corinthians, with the payment of his €4 million release clause deferred until the end of June. However, Leeds has now changed their stance and will complete the move for the 25-year-old midfielder this week.

Miguel is expected to arrive later this week to undergo a medical and finalize his contract with Leeds United, becoming their first signing of the summer transfer window.

The focus now shifts to how many additional players Leeds will bring in through the doors of Elland Road in the coming weeks as they look to rebuild their squad.

Corinthians had expressed dissatisfaction with the relatively low release clause agreed upon for Miguel by their previous president, but Leeds has decided to proceed with triggering it to secure the Brazilian’s services.
